What PETtell stores

PETtell keeps the things you enter about your pets:

• Pet profiles — name, species, breed, birthday, photo
• Health, food, stool, weight, expense and vaccination records
• Diary entries, moods, reminders and routines
• Photos and handwritten notes you add to any of the above

Where it is stored

On your device, and in your own iCloud account, using Apple's CloudKit private database. That is the same place your other iCloud app data lives. It is tied to your Apple ID, not to us.

We do not operate a server. There is no PETtell account to create, no login, and no copy of your data anywhere we can reach. If you turn off iCloud for PETtell, your records simply stay on your device.

Sharing a pet with someone else

PETtell lets you share a pet with another person, using Apple's built-in iCloud sharing. When you do:

• Only the pet you chose is shared — not your other pets.
• You decide whether they can edit, or only look.
• You choose whether the invitation is tied to a specific person, or openable by anyone holding the link. If you pick "Anyone with the link", treat that link as you would a key — anyone you send it to can open that pet's records.
• You can stop sharing at any time from inside the app.

The sharing is arranged entirely by Apple between your iCloud account and theirs. It does not pass through us.

What we do not do

• No advertising, and no advertising networks.
• No selling or sharing of personal information. There is nothing to sell — we never receive it.
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the app.

• No location tracking.
• PETtell never sends your records anywhere except your own iCloud. "Ask AI" doesn't send anything on its own — it hands your log to iOS's share sheet, and you choose which app receives it. Whatever you pick is then governed by that app's privacy policy, not this one.
• Translation of an exported report is done entirely on your device, by iOS itself.

Usage statistics

PETtell does not currently collect any statistics about how you use the app. Apple gives every developer anonymous, aggregated figures about downloads and crashes, which we can see but which contain nothing about you — that is Apple's measurement, not ours, and you can switch it off in Settings under Privacy & Security.

If we ever add our own usage statistics, it will be to see which parts of the app people find useful — counts of actions, never the contents of your logs. We would update this page and the App Store's privacy details before doing it, not after.

Deleting your data

Delete individual records or pets inside the app at any time. To remove everything, delete PETtell from your device, and remove its iCloud data via Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage. Because we hold no copy, that is the whole of it — there is nothing for you to ask us to erase.

Children

PETtell is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. It collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
